CUE THE BODY
STORY - PHILOSOPHY - CTB Principles
The meaning of Pilates’ 6 principles, breathing, concentration, center, control, precision, and flow, gets easily lost when the focus is on choreography and competing with an image rather than mastering the ability to feel and connect to your inner compass.
The Cue is the key to understanding how to expand and evolve.
The space is designed to radiate open-hearted, grounding energy—supporting strength, growth, and healing. It is a space designed to allow you to pause and feel. Each class is an invitation to tune into what your body truly needs, allowing every session to feel new, intentional, and uniquely yours.
WHY CTB? HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?
Here you will learn that it’s not the exercise that makes you, it’s you that makes the exercise.
The CTB cues become the key to accessing your body’s ability to perform better in class and outside of class.
It will feel new, rooted classical pilates foundation with an evolved, holistic, big, integrated eye. You learn how to unlock the secrets in your body, how to let go of old ways that don’t serve, and bring new ways that will work for you and allow you to thrive

The core is rooted in a passion to help, as well as a love for movement and classical Pilates. I stay true to its core principles and at the same time, the driving force of my own journey, and after working with hundreds of bodies, I grew a deep understanding of how energy plays the biggest role, and the power of words met with the intention, simply leads to new possibilities every day. Open the body, open the mind, open the heart are the foundations of my teaching.

Meet Tania,
the founder of Cue the body
Tania’s path has always been guided by movement—from the grace of dance to the intricate relationship between mind, body, and spirit. At a young age, dance wasn’t just something she loved—it was so much more. That passion took her to London, where she pursued her dream of studying dance at the London Contemporary Dance School. Prior to relocating and following her dream, she felt called to enroll in an intensive yoga and pranayama workshop, a profound, transformative experience at age 19 that introduced her to breathwork, energy channeling, and healing. This pivotal moment sparked a passion for holistic practices and marked the beginning of a lifelong exploration of deeper understanding and connection to the human body.
In 1997, Tania earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the London Contemporary Dance School. During her studies, it was an injury that led her to Pilates in the early 90s. What began as a way to heal became a lifelong calling. After her recovery, pilates continued to be a practice to strengthen and deepen her technique
In 1999, she completed her first comprehensive classical Pilates teacher training with the guidance of Romana Kryzanowska and a team of master teachers. She continued to expand her expertise with Power Pilates, another comprehensive certification in 2004, and naturally followed the pursuit of exploring much more, Yoga Teacher Training for adults and for children.
Tania’s journey has never been static—it’s constantly evolving. Studying with master teachers from around the globe is a lot of times her way of vacationing. Today, over 25 years of working with clients, Tania has developed her own holistic way of teaching, one that honors the integrity of Pilates and also each discipline she’s studied along her journey, while consciously bringing them together with clarity, simplicity, and a deep understanding of how it’s all connected.
In 2018, she opened Cue Pilates, today known as Cue the body. It is perfectly located in the heart of the North Shore, Northbrook, Illinois—an intentionally designed space to create an open-hearted energy, for transformation, strength, growth, and healing to have space. Her goal is for everyone in class to take away what their body truly needs, feel a new sense of empowerment, and allow every day to be a new experience. A place where people can reconnect with their bodies, feel supported, and be part of a beautiful community.
Tania is a truth-seeker, an intuitive, and forever a student. Each day, she brings the same curiosity and compassion to her own practice that she shares with her clients. Her classes are not just about movement—they’re about presence. They’re about tuning in, coming home, and remembering that everything is connected.
